Cooperation for solar power development in Green Park Vinh Phuc clinched

Today in Ho Chi Minh City, Nam Binh Xuyen Green Park Co., Ltd. – a member of PNX Group – and SkyX Solar JSC – a member of VinaCapital and EDF Renewables – signed an MoU on investment cooperation for green energy construction in Green Park Vinh Phuc.

The signing ceremony hailed top leaders from stakeholder companies including vice chairman of PNX Group and deputy director of Nam Binh Xuyen Green Park Kwak Il Hwan, CEO and founding partner of VinaCapital Don Lam, CEO of Asset Management at VinaCapital Brook Taylor, chairman and CEO of SkyX Solar Samresh Kumar, and other representatives from YSL Group, VinaCapital, and SkyX Solar.

The signing ceremony marks a special milestone in the development of the Green Park Vinh Phuc project. It also marks the debut of cooperation between Nam Binh Xuyen Green Park and SkyX Solar in their shared vision of developing green and sustainable industrial parks in Vietnam.

SkyX Solar will be the exclusive investor, developer, and operator of the rooftop solar power system in Green Park Vinh Phuc.

According to Kwak Il Hwan, Green Park Vinh Phuc is a big project and a priority for YSL Group over the next five years.

“I highly appreciate SkyX Solar’s cooperation and support for the project. As SkyX Solar is a leading enterprise in the field of rooftop solar power in Vietnam, this is completely in line with the development orientation of the Green Park Vinh Phuc, which envisions becoming a model green industrial park in Vietnam,” said Kwak Il Hwan.

As a member unit of VinaCapital (one of Vietnam’s leading investment management companies) and EDF Renewables (a subsidiary of global energy giant EDF), SkyX Solar specialises in developing and operating rooftop solar power systems for commercial and industrial clients.

The company brings comprehensive, cost-effective, and environment-friendly solutions for clean energy sources in the long term.

Samresh Kumar from SkyX Solar noted that the company has been developing and operating over 100MW of rooftop solar systems for clients from different countries and across a range of sectors, including steel, F&B, textiles, cold storage warehouses, and hotels across Vietnam.

“In our partnership with PNXGroup and Nam Binh Xuyen Green Park, SkyX intends to develop around 50MW in the industrial park over the next few years, which will have a significant positive impact on the environment,” said Samresh Kumar.

In addition, PNX Group – a South Korean-owned multinational corporation – is on its way to becoming one of the leading corporations in Vietnam. It is committed to contributing to societal and community-based development.

Cooperation for solar power development in Green Park Vinh Phuc clinched
Green Park Vinh Phuc is oriented to develop into a green and sustainable industrial park

The Green Park Vinh Phuc project is strategically located 40 minutes away from the centre of Hanoi and 18km from Noi Bai International Airport. Its infrastructure is being developed to high sustainability standards, buoyed by modern equipment and technology to protect the environment.

For example, an advanced wastewater treatment system will help ensure that water is treated before being discharged into the environment, ensuring that the water source can be reused.

Meanwhile, the solar power system will provide clean energy to feed production needs in the industrial park without having to rely solely on the national power grid.

Continuously evolving to keep up with the latest tech trends and ensuring environmental friendliness with smart measures, Green Park Vinh Phuc brings great benefits to investors and tenants alike. The project is set to be named among the leading smart and sustainable green industrial parks in Vietnam.

The project features two phases and is expected to start handing over land to customers in the second quarter of 2023. With the vision and commitment of YSL Group, Green Park Vinh Phuc is making it onto the list of pioneering eco-industrial parks in Vietnam.
